Town Square

I walked into the town square in my guard armor patrolling still confused at what happened at the forest.

When I went back to the tavern,the first thing anyone did was give me a punch,as it was expected.They beated me ad threatened to cut my head off before letting me go get some fruits,bread and meat.I had quickly changed into dry clothes and had left as fast as possible.Right now,I was on my way back,trying really hard not t cry.I walked quickly and with my head down,wanting to avoid any extra trouble.

I saw the girl from the forest. She was walking quickly and looking at the ground wich was usually a sign that someone was in trouble. I walked in front of her so she wouldn't be able to run that way if she wanted to. "Are you all right, miss?"

I saw a pair of boots stopping in front of me and blocking my way while a voice spoke.I recognised it easily and looked up at the bigger man,my eyes at the same level with his chest,cause I didn't risk to look higher."Uhm...H-hey Mason...I-I-I'm fine,thanks for asking..."

I looked down at her and saw bruises on her that weren't there this morning. "Are you sure. As a guard I must keep all citizen safe."Is someone beating on you?" I was almost hundred percent sure but I had to get a statement first.

I just nodded,not to sure if I could hold back the tears for muh longer.

I sighed and nodded.What was the difference?Just a few more punches later.I could afford it.

"Great my afternoon spent with this mess." I said in my head "So I guess I have to ask who what when" He said starting to lead her to a bench.

I nodded quickly,not even thinking his words."I can't tell anything,they'll do worse..."

I blushed deeply and looked down."Y-yes?"I stammered,trying to hide my fear for what I knew was coming next.

I looked up at him surprised and a smiled slowly formed on my lips when I understood his request."Are you planning to be drunk again?"I asked,my smile turning into a playfull smirk.

"hmm I'll have to think abo.." Another guard walked by "Good day" I said and walked past the guard then turned around back to her when the guard turned a corner.

I noticed the other guard looking at me oddly so I lowered my eyes to the ground until he was gone to avoide his gaze.

"I hate that guy" I grumbled "So since last night was a full moon..that means the next one is." I said counting the days in my head.

"14 days.I hope they'll let me out snce I broke the chains..."I thought out loud,but still very quietly."It's 14 days Mason"I informed him,not knowing that I was just repeating myself.

Even though I was in human form I still had great hearing and heard her say chains. "Chains?"
